KNOT is a collective of 4 artists working with real-time composition and textuality.
knot is composed of a writer, a clarinetist/visual artist/poet, a percussionist/sound artist and a composer/rapper. Our practice is based on instrumental electro-acoustic improvisation, spoken poetry, freestyle rap, field recordings and sampling. knot's performances encompass interrupted reportage and a form of multilingual speculative storytelling, exploring the counterpoint of factual and virtual.
The continuous releases are sonic documentaries from our sessions, tracing the process of mutation that our setup and tools undergo. Around a single table in a small studio, where computers, mixers, speakers, cables, half-built instruments, objects and bodies become sonically merged, we like to get lost in a rhizome of our own doing.
